Her Story

Nicola Williams was one of life’s diamonds, she had a beautiful soul and a huge heart. The Gettaway Club held a special place in that heart of hers, where she often volunteered her time sharing her infectious personality, her joy and her positivity, making the lives of Adults with additional needs just that bit more special.

Sadly, Nicola passed away in February 2023 at the age of 45, with Mike by her side as she fell asleep one last time. The abundance of friends whose lives she had touched joined Mike and her family to celebrate her life and all that she gave to other people. It was clear we needed to continue to support this beloved charity in her honour and as part of her legacy.
